Since 1932, the Cidrerie Marcel Viard situated in Guéron, 3km from Bayeux, has been manufacturing its products, in full respect for the traditions of cider making, using apples from Normandy. You will discover the different stages involved in making “Bayeux” cider: the orchards, the cellars, the packaging room. You will also discover the historic dimension of this cider house, which was the first in France to be liberated in June 1944. In effect, it was appointed to ensure the supply of drink to the British troops which had just landed on our shores. Discover the personal and everyday objects left behind by the liberators as they passed through. Tasting at the end of the tour.

Sales of “Bayeux” corked cider, perry, apple juice, Pommeau and Calvados from 9 h to 12 h and from 14 h to 18 h.
Free 45 minute guided tours from 1 April to 10 September at 16 h. Open all year from Monday to Friday, except on public holidays.
