Church and monastery buildings make up a striking classical ensemble dating back to the 18th century. Guided tour led by a monk (45min - 1 hour) of the abbey church, the vestry and main monastery rooms including the library with a collection of 50,000 volumes.
Unaccompanied visit all year round: 9am-12pm/2.30pm-6pm.
Guided tours on Sundays at 15h30.

Built in 1631 according to drawings by the architect François Mansart, Balleroy Castle was one of the first development plans in France which inspired Versailles. The Balloon museum can be found in one of the former stable buildings and retraces the history of aerostation. It was created in 1975 by Malcolm S. Forbes, who bought the castle in 1970. Guided tour of the castle in French and English (45 mins) and unaccompanied tour of the balloon museum (approximately 45 mins).

Castle and museum visit lasts 1 hour 30.
In the tea room, you can taste the delicious "Mariage Frères" tea and find a wide range of articles and presents in its souvenirs section.

Listed historic monument situated between Bayeux et Isigny sur Mer, close to the D-Day beaches, in feudal times, the Château de Colombières was one of the most remarkable military fortresses in Basse-Normandie. From William the Conqueror to the Second World War, its defensive vocation has meant that this fortification has been a witness to a thousand years of Bessin Normand history. 45 minutes guided tour (interior and exterior). Open from Monday to Friday in July and August. Open on weekends in September.

Built between the 11th and 15th centuries, this powerful medieval fort has been municipal property since 1946. An exhibition of equipment and photographs belonging to English, Canadian and French journalists recalls how the BBC studios were housed in the castle in 1944.
Guided tour lasts 45mins from 01/07 to 31/08.

Fontaine-Henry Castle overlooks the verdant little Mue valley. Its soaring rooftops top a facade that has been richly sculpted in a succession of 15th and 16th century styles. Following the guide inside the castle, the visitor will admire an exceptional collection of furniture and painting masterpiece. Children’s activities with a playground of historic games.
Visit lasts : 1 hour 30.
Night-time visits from mid-July to the end of August every Friday from 10.30pm to midnight.
Theatrical visits by torchlight featuring costumes and Renaissance music.
